How To Use Pinterest For Lead Generation
2024 is an exciting time for expanding your digital footprint! Many business owners are looking to step out of the social sphere that has been dominated by short form content leading to burnout for too long. Pinterest is a social media platform that many businesses tend to overlook when it comes to marketing, but for those of us who know (welcome to the club!), it can be the game changer for getting your business in front of your ideal customer without having to dedicate a seemingly endless time towards. Pinterest is only growing in popularity as a marketing platform, so now is the time to begin! Here are some tips for using Pinterest to generate leads for your business:
First, make sure your Pinterest account is optimized for lead generation. This means updating your profile bio & boards to include keywords you have researched for your niche that are not highly competitive. For example: a photographer trying to rank for the keyword “photography inspiration” this keyword has 4-5 million monthly searches, but they will have a very hard time ranking as it will be harder to get your pins on the home feed. In order to get seen more often, finding long tail keywords that people are searching in a slightly lower range is an effective strategy. “photography ideas inspiration” has much less competition in the 100-500k monthly searches, and will get you in front of more of your ideal audience.
Blogging:
Pinterest started as a space for bloggers, and is still a strong space for people who have them! Blogging is an incredible way to generate leads. Start by creating blogs that are relevant to your business that your target audience will want to read. These blogs should be captivating enough to get people to click off of Pinterest to view! Create fresh and original pins with high-quality images and videos that are visually appealing and informative. Your Pins need to stop your audience in their tracks, and have them saying, “I need this!”. Read my blog on more reasons why blogging is going to be big in 2024 here.
My Number One Lead Generation Tip For Pinterest:
Creating freebies is one of the BEST ways your can generate leads on Pinterest! Create a freebie that contains valuable content that positions you as an expert in your field, and have people sign up with their email to recieve the free content they are interested in. From there, Create pins that promote this freebie with a CTA. The more pins you create, the more people will see your freebie, and signup to your email list! from there, you have the opportunity to market in a much more personal format, directly to their inbox. This is an easy opportunity to bring people lower in your sales funnel, and turn them into raving fans of your business! Who doesn’t want more customers?
Pinterest can be a valuable tool for lead generation if used correctly. Pinterest should also be used with the knowledge that in order to achieve results, it will take time and a strong business back end to succeed. It will usually take 3-6 months to start seeing true results on Pinterest, but it is worth the wait! By staying consistent, optimizing your account, creating relevant content, and creating fresh and captivating pins, you have a strategy that is guaranteed to bring eyes to your business!
